This is anther good Aurora product. Wore my other one out after clearing out about 20 years worth of files. Hated to see it die. Based upon its reliability, I purchased another Aurora shredder.
I wish the feeder slot was bigger. May old one was about an inch longer, which made it easier to insert some documents to shred. But, I can work with this.
It is MESSY to empty.
Those are the only two cons I have for it.
I love that I can actually see when the bin is getting full. I have found if I empty before the full light comes on, it does reduce some of the mess.
I really like the microcut and would recommend this shredder to anyone looking for a shredder.

Sheds into very small pieces. Very quiet operation!

It works well enough for my purposes. I use 20 lb paper and that makes the machine work a bit harder, so no more than 8 sheets are shredded at a time. That gave me good speed without seeming to dog the shredder mechanism. The opening of the Aurora is wide enough for easy feeding of paper. Surprisingly, it really is relatively quiet.
Initially, after oiling according to instructions, I ran it non stop for about 15 minutes. It had a couple of momentary stops as it "caught its breath." It dawned on me the machine is overheating, So, I took a break for 5 minutes and resumed shredding. That pattern, <=8 sheets, run 10 minutes with 5 minutes off worked well. My old shredder broke down and I was a few months behind in shredding.
The little confetti pieces it produces is easily poured out. It is nice to be able to see the volume of pieces while working. Also not having to remove the top to empty the bucket is a nice feature. I would recommend a large waste container to dump the contents. I used a smaller kitchen type waste basket and some shredded pieces spilled over and those little pieces are a pain to pick up. You can't be in a rush when handling millions of pieces of micro paper.
. I would recommend this to a friend.

I still own an older Aurora shredder (AS1200X) that is a "crosscut" type and about 8-yrs old. It is still working today and I use it for shredding material that doesn't require as much security (or fine cut). My experience with that old Aurora is what brought me to try them out with this new shredder. This new shredder does a much better (finer) job of shredding and is about 1/2 as quiet vs my old Aurora shredder. It is not whisper quiet, but not so noisy that it would bother me.
My old Aurora shredder has this small window at the very top of the collection drawer that was 3" tall and a couple inches wide. This new shredder has a very large window of 5 3/4" tall and about 4" wide that extends over half of the collection bin. I like that a lot because I can more easily see the fill level as it fills up.
This new micro shredder produces very small pieces. My impression is that these small micro-cut pieces use up less bin area than my older crosscut shredder (larger pieces) does. The cut on this new Aurora is ~1/2" (L) by just over 2/16" inch (W), or 4mm by 12mm.
My only wish (with this new Aurora shredder) is that the paper throat (that you feed through) was a wide as my older Aurora shredder. My old Aurora has a 9.5" feed opening and this new one has a narrower 8.5" opening. This is not a negative, just a difference that I noticed with this new shredder. My old Aurora was what you could call a "dumb shredder" with little to no safety protection built into it. This new Aurora has more safety features and control circuitry which means it could have more to fail down the road. Time will tell if a get 8+ years of service from this new shredder. I do like that it only requires using a little vegetable oil for lubrication and does not need those pre-lubricated sheets that some shredders require.
I like it a lot so far and hope that this new Aurora lives up to the heritage laid down by it's much older predecessor!
